Inspired by the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, April launched her podcast “Just Breathe with April Love’, where she and her guests discuss personal breathtaking, transformational moments of their lives while encouraging listeners that they too can overcome their most challenging moments. “I have a calling. I knew I had to do something to amplify love and make an impact, the world needs guidance and inspiration right now.” says April. One of the most impactful moments April experienced was her Stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis on December 24, 2009. Disappointed in the lack of financial, emotional, mental and spiritual support available to underrepresented groups of women, especially Black women, April founded her Pink in December celebration during her own battle with breast cancer. This event has grown and evolved into the much celebrated Pink Awards. Now beyond her 12th year of survivorship, she continues to support breast cancer warriors and survivors through all of her philanthropic efforts, including the annual Pink Awards.
April Love is an elite female entrepreneur and a celebrated philanthropist who continues to eliminate barriers and raise the bar for progression. With an overwhelmingly successful career that spans more than two decades, she is pivoting from the world of Public Relations and is stepping into her passion-filled purpose: connecting positive energies into impactful endeavors. While many would say that April has already achieved many levels of human greatness, according to April, she’s just getting started.
